Bull jumping initiation ceremony - Hamar horn

Hamar males have to undergo an initiation ceremony before they are allowed to marry. This involves jumping across a line of bulls, two times in each direction. The females of the tribe contribute to the celebration with music and singing, the blowing of horns being common. The scars on her back are a sign that she has been whipped before, the blood showing that she was whipped at this ceremony.
