Hamar girl with bulls
A Hamar girl at a bull jumping initiation ceremony. Colourful beads are very popular amongst Hamar females. The main ceremony concerns the initiate, a young man, who jumps across 6 or 7 bulls twice in each direction. Until he has accomplished this feat he is not allowed to marry.
