The Dassenach tribe live close to Omorate in the far south of Ethiopia. To get there requires a short dugout canoe trip across the Omo River, an unstable form of transport. Generally the villages have few men and boys in them as they are away looking after the herds of cattle. This man exhibits the tribal penchant for silver watch straps.
