Same Same but Different

Mastuj is located about 50 km from the Afghan border in the far northwest of Pakistan. Most of the inhabitants are Ismaili Muslims, less strict in many ways than other Muslim sects. The young boy riding up front is wearing a Tyrolean style hat...why?
