The Kalash live in three valleys in the far northwest of Pakistan that lie next to the Afghan border. The Spring Festival, known as the Joshi Festival, takes place in May. Genetic analysis suggests that the Kalash have west Eurasian lineage, this girl's looks back that up. The Kalash believe they are descendants of Alexander the Great's army.
